Xmas Jumper Day to raise money for charity – Save the Children. We raised and donated £50.
Charity appeal – September 2023
Dear patients, we are collecting: sleeping bags, blankets, warm jackets, jumpers, coats, socks. These will be personally handed out to the homeless where we volunteer on Saturdays. Please leave all donations at reception. All donations are received with gratitude. We will be collecting until December 2023. Many thanks, Sham.
August 2023 – Congratulations to Dr Steph Fernandes
Dr Steph Fernandes gave birth to a baby girl in August 2023. Both baby and Mum are doing well. We look forward to visits from Dr Fernandes with baby Freya.
5 year celebration – 2nd May 2023
Verne Dental Centre celebrated 5 years of ownership with an open morning. Local school children also attended for an educational visit.
Macmillan Cancer Support
A socially distanced outdoor coffee morning in early September raised £265. Verne Dental Centre rounded the donation up to £300 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
London Marathon Walk – July 2019
THANK YOU! We raised £646 from our marathon walk for Alzheimer’s Society in July 2019. Sham will be running the Fleet Half Marathon and the Brighton Marathon in 2020 to raise further funds.
Open Information Session on Dementia – January 2019
We will be holding an information session at Verne Dental Centre on Thursday 17 January 2019 at 6pm. It is open to the public. Please enquire at reception to confirm details.
Dementia Information Session at Gracewell Care Home
Sham held an information session to help with the understanding and management of dementia at Gracewell Care Home in Church Crookham.
Macmillan Coffee Morning – Friday 28 September
The team are really happy to be hosting their first coffee morning and we want to open the morning to all members of the public. UPDATE: Our local community generously donated £76.50 during the two hours and Verne Dental Centre matched this to raise a total of £153.
School Talks – September 2018
Sham and Emily will be visiting local schools in Surrey and Hampshire to promote healthy eating and tooth care. The first talks start on Friday 21 September at Rowledge School and Church Crookham Infants.
Hugely Successful Sugar Awareness Charts!
Our sugar awareness charts have been really popular with our patients. The visual aids have really hit home on the sugar content of some popular drinks. Come along, check out our charts and take a picture to share on social media to raise awareness of sugar in snacks and drinks. We will soon be launching our healthy snacks poster to give ideas for tooth-friendly snacks.

We now provide limited objective adult orthodontics using Six Month Smiles and Quick Straight Teeth systems. We also use UK-based Smilealign to straighten front teeth using comfortable and discreet clear trays.

We now offer facial aesthetics with Azzalure (botulinum toxin) to gently reduce the appearance of fine lines and create a natural, smoother look.
